The Project Manager is responsible for delivering service excellence utilizing people, processes, and technology on all projects. Initiates, plans, executes, controls and closes projects according to the established Project Management Methodology to ensure project meets or exceeds timeline, budget and quality expectations. Requests, resources, and coordinates the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. Works with Business Owners to define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. Interacts regularly with project leadership and senior management. Utilizes leadership skills, sound independent judgment and discretion to positively impact project teams and overall project success. Makes management presentations and submits reports as required. Performs other duties as needed.
Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred. Minimum three years of experience in project management, project lead and/or management responsibilities or related work required. Valid Driver’s License required at time of hire. Certification in Project Management from Project Management Institute (PMP or CAPM) preferred, International Institute for Learning (APMC), or American Academy of Project Management preferred.
Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and documentation skills, and ability to plan and organize technical and analytical work. Able to use project planning software, spreadsheets, and word processing software; input data, typing, copying, and effective use of the telephone. Excellent verbal and writing skills. Able to communicate effectively and clearly in English, in writing and verbally. Ability to deal effectively with people and elicit support from other areas and vendors. Strong customer service skills. Excellent planning, problem solving, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to analyze and interpret data, analyze and interpret processes and needs based on limited information; organize work and resources; define problems and solutions; make recommendations. Able to manage time effectively and plan and implement objectives. Ability to work calmly, efficiently, and respond courteously under pressure. Knowledge of project management tools for task tracking and team collaboration efforts. Knowledge of healthcare software or systems required. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; write, hear, read and speak sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone; identify and distinguish various sounds associated with workplace; see adequately to read computer screens and written documents necessary to the position.
