What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Transporter position at Lompoc Valley Medical Center?
Salary Range: $15.50 - $21.11
Pay rates are determined based on experience and internal equity.
Position Summary:
- Works closely with Supervisors and Ward Clerks to coordinate timing of resident transport.
- Aids the CNA II with resident transport.
- Transports resident safely and respectfully, preserving their dignity.
- Must work well under stress or tight deadlines.
- Work is assigned two days a week with varying hours between 0700-1630, for a total of 6 hours a day.
- Provide transportation for residents from other facilities in a safe manner.
- Ability to demonstrate competency in the use of lift and restraint system in both CCC company vans.
- May transport specimens, documents, medications to other facilities using the van.
- The ability to have a valid California driver’s license and be insurable by LVMC’s insurance carrier.
- Other duties as requested by Director of Nursing
- Must work well with co-workers, residents, family members and visitors.

Position Qualifications:
- Education: High school graduate, or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Possess a valid California Driver’s License, able to be insurable with LVMC’s insurance carrier
- Skills/Ability: Ability to communicate effectively with staff and physicians.
