Lone Star Bakery, Inc. is a fast growing, family-owned business and we are looking for Forklift Operators for our Friday through Sunday weekend shifts. We will provide the training it takes to get you forklift certified!
12 hour shifts available (Day, Mid, Night)
- 3:00am-3:30pm
- 11:30am-12midnight
- 6:00pm-6:30am
Hourly rate begins at: $16.00/hour with a .75 shift differential for the mid and night shifts.
Summary
Performs a variety of warehouse functions in support of Production.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and other warehousing equipment.
- Loads, unloads, inspects, and transfers goods within the Companys production area, freezers, coolers, dry storage and docking areas.
- Ability to work in a team environment with the common goal of supporting the Company.
- Verifies items picked for shipping to sales orders and items received to bill of lading, purchase orders, and other documentation.
- Operates all equipment in a safe and professional manner.
- Follows warehousing protocol and procedures (such as FIFO).
- Ability to cycle count products to ensure the accountability is always maintained.
- Maintains a clean work area that is free and clear of foreign objects and materials.
- Notifies supervisor of any warehousing issues or equipment malfunctions.
- Ability to travel in different areas of the temperature-controlled warehouse.
Job Requirements, Education, & Certifications
- Ability to be forklift certified.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to read and write English with basic math skills.
- Knowledge of barcoding system.
- Ability to be on feet all day and perform walking, stooping, and bending functions as required.
- Ability to push and pull pallets and other packaging materials.
- Ability to understand and use barcoding scanners and devices.
Must be able to pass a background check.
