Lone Star Legal Aid (LSLA) seeks one Director of Giving (job #HOU 015-2023) for its Houston Branch Office.
LSLA is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit law firm and its mission is to protect and advance the civil rights of low-income Texans by providing advocacy, legal representation, and community education that ensure equal access to justice.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Lone Star Legal Aid (LSLA) seeks a Director of Giving to be responsible for Lone Star Legal Aid’s (LSLA) overall giving strategy in fund raising. Includes development of donor lists, event planning and hosting, seeking gifts and alternative funding sources.
Requirements
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and/or extensive experience required Graduate degree desirable
Successful fund-raising record in significant amounts in the public and private sector
Minimum Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, analytical, technical, and organizational skills. Strong commitment to LSLA’s mission to ensure equal justice. Proven ability to collaborate with a team, represent LSLA to a rich diversity of people, communities, and institutions, and develop creative solutions to complex problems. Lots of patience, energy, and enthusiasm.
