Estimator

Lonestar Lighting & Technology has an immediate opening for a Lighting and Lighting Controls Estimator at our Austin, TX location. In this position, you would be a key part of the Projects Team, ensuring that Lonestar successfully bids and obtains contractual awards for commercial and multifamily projects. You will use your strong organizational skills to work closely with General Contractors, Developers, Lighting and Controls manufacturer representative agencies and manufacturers to acquire the necessary information to perform takeoffs and quotes.

Responsibilities:

• Gain a thorough understanding of the scope and timeline of all projects you bid

• Work with Lonestar’s sales team and its customers to understand all pertinent project details

• Perform accurate and timely lighting takeoffs

· Gather and organize pricing from lighting manufacturers’ representatives and manufacturers

· Submit timely and accurate quotes to Lonestar’s General Contractor and Developer customers

· Participate in all job handoff meetings with Lonestar’s Sales and Project Management teams

· Attend required jobsite coordination meetings

Requirements:

• BS in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Construction Engineering or related degree preferred. Associates degree in architectural technology field with related experience accepted

· Construction or Electrical knowledge preferred

· Ability to work with customers and provide excellent service

· Outstanding computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel

· Ability to multi-task while staying organized

· Demonstrated adaptability to a fast-paced, dynamic organization

· Experience working as part of a team

· Experience owning and completing projects independently

· Excellent communication skills with exemplary phone manners.
