Long & Associates, LLC, (L&A) a financial and change management, business consulting, and public health program support services firm, seeks a Public Health Analyst to join our team. The position will work alongside the Global Health Center Overseas Operations Office to support the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) global operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Global Operations Support
- Work alongside the GHC Overseas Operations Office to support CDC global operations.
- Provide support and coordination for Global Health Center leadership meetings, including Overseas Staff Advisory Group (OSAG), Global Advocacy Work Group (GAWG), Overseas Operations Office, and Country Management Advisory Group (CMAG).
- Conduct research and systematic reviews to respond to data requests and inquiries from internal and external partners.
- Develop communications products such as fact sheets, presentations, SharePoint sites, and other related materials, including all content and graphics.
Capacity Building and Workforce Development
- Implement strategies to address CDC's global workforce's training and workforce development needs.
- Provide technical assistance and program support for CDC global health fellowship programs (e.g., Headquarters Experience &Technical Assistance (HETA) and International Experience & Technical Assistance (IETA).
- Provide technical assistance and program support for the CDC Regional Training Program.
- Assist in developing and facilitating training and workshops to support CDC overseas offices.
- Assist with coordinating the application and selection process, orientation activities, and support for CDC global health training and fellowship programs.
- Assist with conducting and evaluating training activities, including assessing training needs and developing assessment instruments.
- Communicate within various cultural contexts and to multiple audiences, including CDC global health senior leaders.
- Provide a monthly technical progress report in narrative form containing the technical results of the work accomplished during the reporting period.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- MPH or MPA Degree
- 5 Years of experience in Public Health
- Experience in coordinating and communicating with key collaborators including stakeholders, partners, within a variety of settings including domestic and/or international.
- Experience in responding to requests for information and developing correspondence for a variety of stakeholders including public health partners and other key stakeholders.
- Experience in researching, gathering, compiling, and producing materials for use in briefings and meetings as well as other Forum.
- Experience with all Microsoft Office Products
