Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Rock Star (Veterinary Technician) to join our band (team). As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality music (care) to our fans (animal patients). This position requires expertise in various areas of sweet harmony (veterinary medicine) that include leadership skills, ability to teach, willing to work as a team member, will listen and learn with the understanding that there are several ways to reach the same goal. Duties:
- Work with one specific veterinarian and lead a team of junior techs
- Perform dental cleanings, x-rays, and assist in surgery when necessary
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results
- Provide support during surgical procedures
- Monitor anesthesia during surgeries and dentistry
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Assist with animal restraint and handling
- Educate pet owners on proper care and treatment

Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Years of experience working as a veterinary technician
- Able to lead AND teach a team of junior technicians correct procedures and protocols
- Knowledge of veterinary critical care procedures and protocols
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment
- Ability to operate x-ray machines
- Strong animal restraint skills
- Strong Spanish speaking ability required
- Able to work with diversified teams and while remaining professional
- Able to train
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or equivalent certification preferred

We offer competitive compensation based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.42 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
