Job Description:
Longwood University invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Boiler Operator / Utility Plant Specialist II (00412). The successful candidate will be responsible for the shift operation of the 101,400 lbs./hour heating plant and distribution system to ensure the plant is operated safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all environmental rules and regulations. The shift will be 11:00pm - 7:00am. This position is considered emergency personnel, which requires the selected candidate to report to work or be called in due to inclement weather, an emergency, staff shortage, etc.
