Looma Background
Looma exists to bring transparency, humanity, and responsibility to advertising and commerce. We do so by connecting shoppers to the people and stories behind their favorite brands, and informing their purchasing decisions.
Our first product, Loop, is a network of in-store screens that play short videos focused on storytelling and education. The content for this network is powered by our second product a marketplace of independent filmmakers who specialize in authentic, human-centric point-of-decision video.
Position Summary
The Looma Product Manager is the perfect role for candidates early in their career looking to work throughout the product development lifecycle at a young and quickly growing startup. Product management serves to (1) improve the integration of Loop within the grocery environment to better delight shoppers while (2) developing the ecosystem of platforms that enable Loomas partnering grocers, brands, and filmmakers to deliver the stories featured on Loop at scale. In practice, this role will support functions ranging from ideation and design to development and delivery, making it well-suited for those energized by taking ideas from initial ideation to production. As Loomas 2nd product management hire, this role will report directly to Loomas VP of Product and will require a high level of self-initiative, curiosity, and ownership over work.
The responsibilities for this role are split relatively evenly between:
- User Research (25%)
- Low Resolution Design (25%)
- Product Roadmap Mgmt (25%)
- Software Engineering Mgmt (25%)
User Research (25%)
- Ongoing user research to maintain a deep understanding of key product stakeholders: shoppers, food & beverage brands, retailers, filmmakers, and Looma employees
Product Ideation & Design (25%)
- Ideate on and sketch out new features and tools
- Mockup lightweight UI/UX materials to guide design work Note: UX designer available; this role is not intended to be responsible for production quality product design
- Support high level product architecture design
Product Roadmap Mgmt (25%)
- Encourage internal product ideation
- Organize ideas into items on product roadmap
- Support roadmap prioritization and strategy
Software Engineering Mgmt (25%)
- Scope software engineering projects and sprints
- Document and triage engineering tasks / tickets
- Review engineering deliverables / quality assurance
- Deliver products to users / user acceptance testing

Structure & Compensation
Looma will provide a competitive compensation package consisting of base salary and stock options. All Looma compensation packages include cash / equity flexibility (i.e. you can opt for more equity and less cash or vice-versa).
