About the Role: As a Proposal Development Manager at our company, you will play a crucial role in steering the direction and quality of our proposal initiatives. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Proposals within the Sales division, your purview will span from the initial identification of lucrative opportunities to the meticulous submission of proposals. Your expertise will be vital in fostering collaborations with cross-functional teams, including sales, legal, and finance, ensuring that our proposals not only meet our clients' expectations but also reflect our company's high standards and strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the entire post-identification proposal development process to final submission.
- Utilize proposal management software and content library for efficient response processes.
- Collaborate closely with sales, business development, legal, and finance teams to ensure project objectives and compliance are met.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including subject matter experts, to refine proposals.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
- Evaluate vendors and suppliers, ensuring adherence to company standards for quality and timelines.
- Differentiate between essential and additional project requirements, defining scope and budgetary impacts.
- Set and adhere to proposal milestones, deadlines, and key project components.
- Ensure proposals are aligned with client needs and expectations.
- Oversee all legal and notarial requirements during the proposal process.
- Identify and implement best practices to enhance proposal process efficiency.
- Provide timely updates to senior management on ongoing projects and potential opportunities.
- Ensure prompt response to any post-submission inquiries and maintain backups of essential documents.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a closely related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in proposal management, with demonstrated expertise in spearheading the proposal development lifecycle.
- Proficiency with proposal management software and other pertinent database systems.
- Demonstrable experience in market research, coupled with a keen acumen for analyzing industry trends.
- Substantial experience collaborating in cross-functional settings, especially liaising with departments such as sales, business development, legal, and finance.
- A proven history of successfully managing project scopes, from timelines and budgets to critical deliverables.
- Acquaintance with the intricacies of vendor evaluation and management.
- Prior exposure to the EV sector and familiarity with Government RFP processes are distinct advantages.
Total Compensation Package (FTE):
- Salary $105,000-120,000
- Opportunity to participate in ESOP
