Data Engineer

About the Job

Loopback Analytics is hiring a Data Engineer to aid with development of healthcare analytics systems.  This role consists mostly of coding in Python/Pyspark, specifically to aid with Loopback’s product focused on critical outcomes for specific diseases.  This position will be a part of the main analytics team, focused on medications and their effect on healthcare outcomes.  No travel required.  Will be expected to communicate clearly and be able to present findings.

Job Duties to Include

• Coding in Python/Pyspark
• Collaborate with Product Managers
• Support Reporting on Analytics

Requirements

Technical Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Statistics, or related field
• 2 years of Python/Pyspark experience
• SQL exposure
• GIT exposure

Preferred Experience:

• Prior exposure to healthcare data
• Previous experience with building analytics systems
• Previous experience with master data management
• Prior experience with Databricks

Personal Characteristics:

• Strong problem solving skills, attentive to detail
• Ability to interpret and translate client requirements into code
• Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively on technical problems
• Self-starter, able to dissect problems in a remote setting but seek help when blocked
• Willingness to adapt, as problems frequently change
