Lopez PR and Marketing Group, Inc. (LMG) is a well-known full-service advertising agency that has been in business for 35 years. LMG is seeking a skilled full charge bookkeeper to join our team.
Purpose of Position: Responsible for managing the company’s financial tasks such as accounts payables, receivables, and ensuring all company invoices and payments are properly recorded, tracked, approved, and paid. Manage bank accounts, reconciliations and support financial reporting needs. Work closely with company professionals, management, and outside vendors.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Track company bank accounts, deposits, and balances; report regularly to management
2. Track company invoice obligations, make accurate and timely invoice payments, gain approval where necessary, and identify and report inaccuracies and variances.
3. Responsible for client billing and tracking of payment process.
4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using the company’s accounting software system.
5. Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including income statements, cash flow, P&L, and balance sheets.
6. Monitor cash flow and provide projections to assist in making strategic decisions.
7. Reconcile cash, revenue, credit card statements and bank accounts.
8. Maintain and file requisite documents for taxation compliance.
9. Prepare and track tax returns and payments such as payroll, income, sales, and other appropriate business taxes.
10. Monitor company office expenses and track related invoices and payments.
11. Work with clients and vendors to resolve any invoice problems and discrepancies. Collaborate with other accounting and finance team members.
12. Ensure compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements.
13. Advise management on the financial health of the company.
14. Track employee employment benefits, sick days, vacation days.
15. File state certifications and registrations.
16. Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Job Requirements:
· Associate’s Degree in Business preferred.
· 3-5 years of accounting/bookkeeping or equivalent combination of experience and education or training.
· Knowledge of A/P, A/R, general ledger, budgeting, and accounting best practices.
