Objective:
We are seeking experienced Meat Cutters and Slaughter Floor Butchers to join our team. Breaking down a full carcass to individual portions is an art form, requiring skill and a strong attention to detail. Our team handles up to 100 carcasses a day.

Essential Functions for Meat Cutter/Butcher:
- 1 plus years experienced meat cutting knife skills
- Ability to identify different meat cuts
- The ability to listen and follow directions.
- Basic knowledge of math, weights, and measures.
- A good attitude towards continuous improvements of food safety systems.
- The ability to follow general food safety practices (GMP’s, HACCP, SQF system)
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
The positions include fabrication of:
Cut hanging: round and hind quarter
Cut on table: chuck, clod, rib eye strips, top butt, and tenderloin
Language Skills
· Fluency in English (verbal and written)
· Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) is preferred
Hours:
M-F, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Saturdays for business needs

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and understand instructions. Possess good eye-hand coordination and dexterity. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, twisting, and climbing frequently. The use of hands and arms constantly for pinching, simple gripping, grasping, and push/pull with hands up to 300 pounds on a trolley, operate a vibrating tool frequently. Reach above shoulder occasionally. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move items up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a moving carcass on a rail system.

Pay: $17.22 - $20.71 per hour
