Job Posting Title: Associate - Research 4 Position Type: Other Academic Department: LSUAM Engineering - LTRC - Research - Pavement Research (Zhong Wu (00002961)) Work Location: 0102 Louisiana Transportation Research Center Pay Grade: Other Academic Job Description: Develops research proposals and conducts advanced scientific research in transportation management for Louisiana Transportation and Research Center. 40% Conduct advanced scientific research in pavement engineering related areas including accelerated pavement testing, nondestructive testing, pavement management system and numerical pavement modeling. Analyze extensively the data collected using advanced analytic/mathematical skills and statistical approaches as well as engineering judgment. 40% Write research proposals and prepare technical reports and publications for dissemination of research results. Present findings in technical journals, conferences and professional meetings. 20% Perform collaborative research with LTRC’s Geotechnical & Pavement research group and/or Materials research group. Provide technical assistance to DOTD and LTRC to solve problems related to pavement performance and implement the findings of research results. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field and 1-2 years of pavement research experience. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. in related field and a background in Pavement Engineering and Accerlerated Pavement Testing.
