What are the responsibilities and job description for the Workday Administrator II position at Louisville Metro Government?
Supports Louisville Metro’s ERP system, Workday
Provides support for other Metro Human Resources and Finance systems
Leads and drives initiatives ensuring the city is leveraging the most up to date functionality within the Workday system
Examples of Work:
UNDER GENERAL DIRECTION
Identifies operational efficiencies through evaluation of Workday system functionality
Manages twice a year Workday releases
Develops training strategies on the use of Workday and overall product management for any changes related to Workday
Works with HR, Finance, CIT and 3rd party vendors, and governance committee to ensure configuration changes are properly managed, tested, and implemented
Works with HR, Finance, CIT and 3rd party vendors, and governance committee to implement new functionality or modules in future state
Develops and maintains complex system configuration such as Foundation Data Model dimensions, custom validations, and business processes
Develops and maintains system configuration for Metro’s timekeeping and scheduling software
Documents polices and processes related to system configuration and maintenance
Mentors and trains Business Solutions team members
Monitors tickets and respond to daily support requests and resolves issues
Works with CIT on data structure for reports creation
Serves as SME for Workday
Fosters a culture of partnership with business alignment team and business leaders on all levels to gain support and adoption of the strategy and vision.
Participates actively in the Workday community, and proposes and advocates for improvements to the Workday solution
Performs and assists departments with complex data uploads into Workday (EIB)

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
Business Administration
Public Administration
Computer Science
Finance
Accounting
Human Resources
Communications
Related field
Five years of human resources, accounting, public administration, or computer science experience
Other Minimums:
Must be on 24 hour call
Must provide one's own source of transportation
Must work a varied schedule
Equivalency:
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
KSAs:
Ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee information
Skill in clearly communicating complex technical information to non-technical audiences
Ability to effectively communicate with employees to support system adoption and to ensure users can perform required tasks
Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills with attention to detail
Ability to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess the business needs
MS Office skills, especially Excel - Pivot Tables, vLookup, etc
Workday experience is preferred but not required. Candidates will receive Workday Pro training with a two-year employment commitment upon completion of receiving Pro accreditation
