What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Counselor -Adult Inpatient Unit -Full Time - Nights position at Lourdes Health?
Functions as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to provide 24-hour direct supervision of patients and to implement treatment plans as directed by Charge RN or lead Mental Health Professional (MHP) staff. A critical attribute required of this position is exceptional interpersonal customer services consisting of an outgoing positive attitude, warm friendly joyful demeanor, and the utmost care and respect for our guests, patients, families, customers and colleagues.
Wage Range:
$17.80 - $25.07
EDUCATION
Education: Required minimum 90 quarter or 60 semester credit hours. Associate of Arts (AA), Bachelors of Science (BS), Arts (BA) or Social Work (BSW) Degree in social service/behavioral science preferred.
Population Served: Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the population served in Adult Inpatient Unit or Crisis Triage Facility.
Experience: Minimum one (1) year mental health experience preferred.
License/Certifications:
- Must have or apply for a Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor within 30 (30) days of employment. May work as an agency affiliated counselor while the application is processed by the state, or possess current Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA), Licensed Advance Social Worker (LASW), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Social Worker Associate & Advanced (LSWAA) as defined by the Washington State Department of Health.
- Must have/obtain a current Heart Savers Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire.
Other: Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking abilities preferred. Ability to work with culturally diverse population.
