What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Technician position at Love Bird Mobile Lab?
Lab Technicians are responsible for receiving, testing, analyzing, recording and reporting results of their tests. Their main duties and responsibilities include:
Receiving, labeling and safely storing samples to be tested
Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis and report
Recording tests and analyses and then reporting the results
Discussing and answering any questions regarding the results
Organizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements to ensure the safety of personnel and integrity of the sample
Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including recalibration of equipment
Maintaining equipment records and daily work logs
Staying current on technical and scientific advances in their field

Under the direction of the department leadership, execute quality control testing strategies on Lovebird’s blood supply to ensure regulatory requirements are met and manufacture platelet products according to operational standards. We provide training that will help advance your career in health care, while working with a compassionate and mission-driven group of professionals. *What you will do: * · Understands and performs laboratory activities to all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements · Maintains equipment by performing daily quality control and preventative maintenance · Conducts validation procedures to qualify new production processes · Supports trainers by coordinating and maintaining staff training and competencies · Maintains equipment reagent inventory levels for daily laboratory operations
Requirements: * 8-hour shift * Weekend availability Education: * High school or equivalent (Preferred) * Driver's License (Required) Willingness to travel: * 25% (Preferred) Work Location: Multiple Locations

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
