Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Vocational Specialist Position Summary:

 

The position is part of an interdisciplinary team that provides quality evidenced based practices to clients living in the community struggling with behavioral health issues. The ACT Vocational Specialist position is tasked with assisting clients find gainful employment. Now hiring for 4-day work week Monday-Thursday. You work 36 hours, but we will pay you for 40 hours. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop employment opportunities for members through direct solicitation of employers.
  • Assess readiness and employment skills. 
  • Provide training for employment and job coaching.
  • Assist with resume writing and preparing for job interviews.
  • Serve as a liaison to the business community and helping agencies; advocate for people recovering from severe mental illness as employees.
  • Using electronic medical records, input data and following through seeing services to their completion.  

Qualification, Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma and supported employment experience
  • Current CPR and First Aid. 
  • Full valid driver’s license and safe driving record is required.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with the psychosocial and vocational rehabilitation process. 
  • Experience in the vocational field required.
