Trademark Legal Assistant (Permanently Remote) - Now Hiring

We are a fast-growing and dynamic Intellectual Property law firm specializing in the prosecution of patents, trademarks, and copyrights. We are seeking a full-time Trademark Legal Assistant to help with attorney and client management including drafting/filing documents/forms; e-filing at USPTO (TEAS, TTAB, ETAS); corresponding with clients, foreign counsels, and foreign IP offices; generating and reviewing docket/status reports (Pattsy); sending out task reminders (Outlook); following up diligently with attorneys regarding their docket and deadlines; managing client portals; overseeing/reviewing/implementing appropriate client processes/procedures to improve workflow/communication; and otherwise assisting in the daily support tasks to ensure a smooth office workflow.

It is important you understand trademark deadlines (US, Madrid Protocol, foreign), is computer savvy (experience with telecommuting would be a plus), energetic, easy-going, flexible, pays attention to details, able to multi-task, able to handle different attorneys' personalities and adjust to their style of work accordingly, work well with a team, and generally require little supervision.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Understand US, Madrid Protocol, and foreign trademark prosecution and deadlines;
• Experience filing applications, responses, SOUs, renewals, and assignments for trademarks (based on instructions from attorneys);
• Experience with fast-pace filings (i.e., on average around 10-15 filings a day in addition to completing daily tasks); and
• At least 4 years of intellectual property law office experience in a similar position carrying out similar tasks;

This position is 100% permanently remote. You must provide your own good-working computer and a stable internet connection. Salary range is between $56,000-$60,000/yearly (non-negotiable). Our regular office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00am-6:00pm (Pacific Time), however, if you are located in Eastern Time, your hours will be 7:00am-4:00pm (Pacific Time) and if you are located in Central Time, your hours will be 8:00am-5:00pm (Pacific Time).
