POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Reliability Manager is a plant leader who is responsible for effectively managing both Maintenance Technicians and Supervisors to proactively implement best practices in reliability maintenance, and to develop procedures to enhance plant/equipment dependability going forward. This position will partner with top level leadership to pilot safety initiatives, equipment and process standardization, and root cause solutions that can be shared and implemented organization-wide (multi-plant). They will help develop, coordinate, and maintain current reliability focused activities, programs and training. They are responsible for the optimization of physical assets, as well as leading any necessary transformational changes in relation to streamlined maintenance and reliability processes and future strategies.

This should include aspects of safety, procurement practices, vendor performance, contractor management, and equipment set-up and design.

- Works collaboratively with all stakeholder functions to plan, organize, and justify costs for project implementation and preventive maintenance, and demonstrates problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
- Assists the dedicated engineering teams with analysis and design review to create recommendations on necessary adjustment opportunities to leadership.
- Leads a zero-injury safety culture through focus on safety initiatives, communication, and incident follow up corrective actions.
- Builds strong teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals. Achieves this through individualized career development strategies.
- Deploys and/or sustains proactive maintenance strategies under a continuous improvement mindset.
- Supervises routine, preventive, and project maintenance and tool & die work assignments to optimize the reliability of plant equipment and the facilities.
- Works collaboratively with production supervisors and managers to solve equipment problems, reduce costs and improve operations.
- Maintains and consistently administers local policies to meet day-to-day operating requirements. Ensures that all regulatory standards and company policies are understood, supported and followed on the production floor.
- Collaborates with support functions, including Learning & Development Team, to coordinate job training and provide training resources within the department.
- Demonstrates regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings and completing assignments.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Associate degree or two-year certification in related technical field or equivalent experience. Bachelor degree in technical field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering, maintenance, or tool & die position; with at least 2 years of demonstrated success in leading/managing a technical area, such as manufacturing engineering, tool & die, or maintenance in a manufacturing setting, if degreed. Minimum 8 years of experience in an engineering, maintenance or tool & die position; with at least 4 years of demonstrated success in leading/managing a technical area, such as manufacturing engineering, tool & die, or maintenance in a manufacturing setting, if non-degreed.
Required Skills:
- Excellent ability to develop leaders.
- Ability to deploy structured problem solving tools.
- Knowledge of industrial maintenance, tool, and die in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience in driving continuous improvement.
- Intermediate skill with Microsoft Office Applications.
- Demonstrated mechanical and electrical knowledge including troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance systems and procedures.
SPECIAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to navigate throughout a manufacturing facility or warehouse 75% of the day.
- Must be flexible to cover for shifts other than the regularly assigned shift.
Salary : $78,500 - $99,400
