Strategic Communications and Social Media Consultant

LPR International is seeking a Strategic Communications and Social Media consultant to support our client based in Arlington, VA. The person in this position will provide executive-level strategic communications, administrative, and management support services. This role requires an Active Secret Clearance.

Job Tasks:

• Support and advise client executive-level management, subject-matter-experts (SMEs), and content owners with strategic communications, speechwriting, and public affairs.
• Support client’s strategic communications program, policies, activities, social media and online presence and future initiatives by planning, developing, coordinating, monitoring, and analyzing communications with various audiences, including internal client members, but primarily focusing on audiences external to client, ranging from the DON to the public.
• Support engagement with Department of Defense (DoD) public affairs officials, including the DON Chief Information Office for media relations, and Congressional communications.
• Leverage best practice tactics, techniques, procedures, and information technology of oral, visual, and written communications to support client's strategic communications, including management of multiple social media accounts and client’s public web presence. Utilize a broad range of communications tools including social media and proposes and pursues innovative methods to reach diverse audiences.

Requirements:

• Ability to perform the tasks listed above.
• A minimum of five (5) years (in the last seven (7) years) in strategic communications, public relations, or similar experience (personnel experience, not the organization's experience).
• Demonstrated knowledge of the DoD, particularly the DON, the Navy, and the Marine Corps, and their public affairs functions, policies, and processes.
• Experience working in a legal setting and with the attorney-client privilege desired.
