Summary:
The Tech Helper performs work on assigned trainer systems as support to skilled technicians in various trade skills to include cleaning, sanding, repairing, fabrication, and installation
of various trainer systems/components.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assists skilled technicians in the repair, fabrication, and installation of various trainer components.
- Assists other trades in sanding, cleaning, grinding, and paint preparation of trainers and components.
- Utilizes various hand tools, when deemed qualified to do so, to include electric and pneumatic power hand tools.
- Assists in the clean-up of shop work areas at the end of the work shift, or any time deemed necessary to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Must be capable of safely handling government furnished equipment and materials.
- Must be available to work a standard weekly schedule with overtime as required.
- Performs other duties as required.

- Some knowledge of the training systems.
- Some basic knowledge of technical manuals.
- Shows the ability to learn new skills and develops those skill sets while working with skilled technicians.
- Maintains high standards of professional and personal conduct.
- Works well as a team member with skilled technicians.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum professional experience required at this grade level.

Salary : $34,400 - $43,600
