LSI is growing; we are looking for a strong Vice President of Business Development to lead key growth initiatives through new customer acquisition and existing customer growth. This position is based in LSI's Corporate office in Layton Utah
In this role, the successful candidate will:
- Become intimately familiar with LSI offerings, value propositions and use cases.
- Develop and manage a pipeline of opportunities leading to a rolling funnel of $8-$10 million quarterly leading to at least $2 million in booked new revenue annually.
- Leverage existing industry tools to identify new opportunities, lead the development of compelling proposals and close sustainable solutions.
- Learn the intricacies of FED/SLED procurement and acquisition processes.
- Build and manage a strong network of existing and potential clients.
- Lead the development and execution of Strategic Account Plans to drive toward growth goals.
- Consistently engage with Operational counterparts and leadership on segment growth, Account status, history, potential and challenges.
- Constructively engage with cross-functional business units to ensure successful delivery on established client objectives.
- Represent LSI at various events and meetings with the objective of identifying and growing new and existing business.
- Provide strategic leadership on proposal development and closure.
- We already assume you are organized and experienced with basic business tools like Office 365, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM, etc.
Desired qualifications for this role include:
- 10 years of sales experience (government and/or industry experience is helpful but not required)
- Professional experience with large-scale pipeline development and execution, including successful capture of large/significant pursuits.
- Deep experience in client management with executive-level communication skills.
- Proven creative, strategic negotiation skills.
- Complex sales background with the skill to manage multiple stakeholders; leveraging multiple agencies to deliver on stated objectives.
- An accountable, leading contributor and a masterful builder of relationships
- A problem-solver who can see how LSI solutions solve known and potential customer challenges.
- Deep experience in sophisticated client engagement, complex sales and strategic account management
- Willingness to engage outside of your job description to ensure clients’ success.
- Government acquisition and federal business experience are great but not a requirement.
- Work in an office environment, this is not a remote position.
Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
- Ability to travel 10-15%.
