Job Title: Helpdesk Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Helpdesk Technician for a local manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will provide first-line support for PC-related issues, whether in person, via telephone, or remotely. Responsibilities include diagnosing technical problems, providing timely solutions, and documenting processes. Additionally, the role involves installing new hardware/software and assisting in maintaining existing systems.
Key Responsibilities:-
Respond promptly to technical support requests via phone, email, or in person.

Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodology for continuous improvement.

Resolve basic computer issues efficiently and escalate complex problems as necessary.

Provide training to end-users on hardware and software usage.
-
Document technical solutions and maintain IT equipment database.

Assist in administering Active Directory objects and accounts.

Perform SAP password resets when required.

Install and perform minor repairs on hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.

Ensure proper setup of equipment for employee use, including operating systems and software.
Additional Duties:-
Attend meetings as required.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Special Job Dimensions:
May require on-call, after-hours, and weekend work.
Up to 25% travel may be necessary.
Maintain company-issued lift truck license.
Required Qualifications:-
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Operating Systems and Office products.

Familiarity with Helpdesk ticketing software.

Ability to troubleshoot various applications and software issues.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Capacity to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.

Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.

Associate's Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

0-2 years of experience in a Helpdesk role.

CompTIA A Certification preferred.

Microsoft MCITP: Windows 7 or Windows 10 preferred.

Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification preferred.

Equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
