LTI, Inc. is expanding our accounting team! We need to add an accountant to our team. A successful candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, plus the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Does this sound like you?

Work a hybrid work schedule upon completion of training with a base salary of $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 based on skills and experience. Qualifications

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Trucking transportation as well as Oracle, Dayforce and Tableau experience a plus.
  • Computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Basic skills should include Excel: tables, SUM, formatting, freeze panes, filters, sorting, page setup, grouping, etc.
  • Communication: Ability to interact as well as communicate effectively with customers, contractors, vendors, managers, and other employees of the organization on a professional level while demonstrating strong problem-solving skills. Effectively communicates verbally and in writing with team, management, customers and suppliers.
  • Accountability/Dependability: Takes responsibility for own actions and is committed to hours of work required necessary to accomplishing established goals.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize, organize, implement, and follow through to completion projects and tasks assigned or assumed. Manage and organize multiple deadlines, phone calls, emails and paper correspondence.
  • The ability to use and troubleshoot a variety of machines such as copiers, scanners, telephones, etc.
  • Professionalism/Ethics: Reacts well under pressure and upholds our organizational values as well as treats all others with respect.
  • Leadership: Works independently on small tasks. Works with minimal supervision. Collaborates and works with a team. Willing to help when or where needed. Collaborates effectively with management, users, operating companies and all other departments. Standard process decision making. Employee must be flexible to work alone or as part of a team under pressure of deadlines or business volume increases.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Compiles and analyzes financial and statistical information to prepare and upload journal entries.
  • Review and maintain financial records and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded.
  • Performs monthly, quarterly and year-end reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Review and analyze financial statements to ensure completion and accuracy.
  • Review, investigate, and assist with the resolution of errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Work with other departments within the organization to gain knowledge and understand changes in operations to support proper recognition of accounting data
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual state and federal compliance reporting and tax filings. Works with regulatory agency to audit information provided.
  • Work closely with others within the finance and tax departments, the independent public accountants and operational managers.
  • Research and apply complex financial accounting concepts to relevant business transactions.
