The Quality Control Technician I will support the blending and packaging functions of our high-performance petroleum products. This role is responsible for ensuring the fluid quality and integrity of products produced by testing the physical and chemical properties of the materials against specifications. Additionally, the quality technician I will be responsible for assistance with Lube-Tech’s used oil analysis program.
- Test chemical and physical properties of finished lubricants utilizing necessary lab equipment
- Communicate and collaborate with production team to correct quality issues
- Perform packaging line audits with audit checklist
- Cleaning and stocking of the laboratory materials
- Disposal of expired quality samples
- Calibration and validation of laboratory instrumentation
- Preparation of calibration standards
- Used oil analysis assistance through collaboration with Chemist where applicable
- Required to provide certification of analysis when necessary
- Assisting in quality control continuous improvement projects as needed

- Preferred a B.S./B.A. degree with emphasis in sciences, Chemistry preferred
- 0-2 years’ experience in a Quality Control role
- Requires an individual who engages in safe laboratory practices
- Requires strong oral, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Requires the ability to perform calculations for proportions/solutions
- Requires the ability to work independently to organize work and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines
- A basic knowledge of industrial lubricants, product formulation and testing experience is preferred

Salary : $36,800 - $46,600
