Description
Epika Fleet is seeking an experienced Accountant who is a hands-on self-starter committed to getting the job done with the ability to work effectively both individually and cross-functionally as part of a team. This person will work to help us advance our financial organization as we grow both organically and through acquisitions. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this dynamic person acts as a key business partner to the Accounting team, driving initiatives and projects within the organization to help the Executive team better track, understand and predict results.
Summary:
This role requires a highly analytical person with the ability to collect, analyze and interpret quantitative data, and create meaningful reports. A collaborative problem-solver, he/she will understand GAAP and the broader business context around them. Effective communication with cross functional team, specifically finance and operations is key for success. This role will be onsite during the training period which will last until both employee and manager feel comfortable moving to hybrid/remote work. Thereafter it will be a hybrid role: both onsite and ability to work from home. All candidates will need to feel comfortable commuting to the onsite location, therefore will need to reside in the Greater Nashville Area.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
· Prepare various internal financial reports such as bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
· Participate in external audits
· Ensure monthly balance sheets are reviewed and facilitated with FloQast accounting software
· Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings - liaise with different businesses in accounting support
· Intercompany reconciliations
· Work closely with the Controller on external audits
· Support Accounting staff with reviewing system entries and inventory reconciliations
· Perform allocations across the different businesses
· Personal property tax reporting and accruals
· Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
Work experience requirements:
· BA/BS in Accounting; CPA designation is a plus
· 2 or more years of accounting experience
· Advanced Excel knowledge required, as well as effective utilization of other Microsoft Office tools such as PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Outlook
· NetSuite experience is a plus
· Able to manage multiple and changing priorities
· FloQast experience a plus
· Detail oriented, well organized, reliable, professional, personable, enthusiastic
