Lubrizol is currently seeking a Finance Analyst to provide meaningful and actionable data to impact the Lubrizol Advanced Materials (LZAM) Estane business. In this role, you would be an active participant in the creation and execution of business strategy and delivering relevant short term and long-term financial analyses to support profitable business growth. In addition, you would be responsible for goal setting, providing updates on financial progress, improvement initiatives, budgeting and reporting. This role will be based out of our LZAM headquarters, in Brecksville, OH, with a hybrid working model.
Essential Job Functions
- Monitor financial performance of the business unit including income statement, balance sheet and cash flow
- Provide timely, concise, and actionable financial information to business unit leader and other respective management
- Assist in the coordination and development of the business unit’s annual operating plans and forecasts
- Generate analysis and understanding of the budget and forecasts to help management make informed decisions that drive the performance of the business
- Assist in the coordination and development of the strategic plan / trajectory
- Support the monthly business review process, monthly financial reporting and other required reporting
- Prepare month-end closing deliverables
- Manage rebate agreements and commission & accruals
- Support new product costing analysis to help determine the future profitability and value proposition for new products
- Support adherence to documented internal controls; Assist with development of new controls
- Maintain the integrity of financial systems and reporting modules
- Ad hoc projects as needed
Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 3 years of financial experience
- Excellent systems and financial modeling skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Well-organized, flexible, ability to multi-task
- Proactive, self-starter with the desire to achieve
- Strong interpersonal and business communication skills
- Analytical skills
CONSIDERED A PLUS:
- MBA, CPA, CMA or equivalent
- SAP, PowerBI, and BOBJ knowledge
- Cost Accounting experience
