Housekeeping Laundry Attendant Salary: $12.00 per hour
Housekeeping Laundry Attendant Shifts: Available Holidays, Day and Evening Shifts and Alternating Weekends

Our Housekeeping Department is seeking a dependable and flexible Housekeeping Laundry Attendant to perform such housekeeping routines as cleaning of patient rooms, offices, bathrooms, and public areas, while ensuring a safe and risk preventive environment within OSHA, NJ State Department of Health and Federal regulations.
The Housekeeping Laundry Attendant distributes linen daily or as needed. Picks up empty linen carts daily or as needed. Removes soiled laundry from all assigned areas and transport to laundry department as needed. Performs all assigned duties assigned by the Housekeeping Director.
Housekeeping Laundry Attendant Responsibilities:
- Ability to follow all applicable schedules, sanitation, and safety requirements.
- Clean and disinfect patient’s rooms, bathrooms, and other areas of the facility in a timely fashion.
- Cleaning duties will include trash removal and disposal, sweeping, mopping, and other duties assigned according to facility policies and procedures.
- Must understand standard precautions and removal of medical waste, and hazardous waste.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Maintain adequate stock of supplies and chemicals. Understanding of DOH inspections.
- Lift, pull, push up to 50 lbs.
Housekeeping Laundry Attendant Qualification:
- The ability to read, write, and speak English is essential.
- No formal education required. A high school diploma is desirable.
- Previous experience in a healthcare facility, specifically the housekeeping and laundry department is helpful, however on-site training and orientation provided.
- The ability to provide and follow oral, written, and verbal instruction is vital.
- The ability to fulfill all pre-employment requirements as required by the facility and Lucent.
Collecting and sorting soiled linen, loading, and unloading machines, and folding clean linen.
- Operates computer-operated washers and dryers
- Counting and recording the linen processed each day, making proper delivers to the units.
- Delivers personal clothing to the appropriate resident.
- Cleaning and sanitizing the work area including machines, worktables, and sorting areas.
- Reports equipment and cleaning product needs and or malfunctions to Housekeeping Director in a timely fashion.
- Responsible for the safe and proper use of detergents and chemicals and adheres to all safety precautions.
- Utilizes protective gear in all appropriate functions
- Must be able to work independently.
- Lift, bending, twisting, reaching, pull, push up to 50 lbs.
