DESCRIPTION
Contract management company seeking experienced Chef to support culinary operations in the Western GA region. This is a full time opportunity with benefits available. This position will support culinary operations within the given region. Depending on the needs of the facilities, this role may be providing culinary and/or management support. Candidates must have previous cooking experience and knowledge/skill set for scratch cooking. Long term care experience is preferred.
Responsibilities and Duties
~Complete audits and staff education as necessary
~Prepares meals according to menu’s and recipes for the day
~Ensures all food is complete and ready to be served.
~Ensures all prep is completed labeled and dated .
~Clean and sanitize all food areas used for meal prep.
~Take temperatures of all foods served and record.
~Ensures proper sanitation of the kitchen and equipment during shift. Properly closes the kitchen at night.
~Interact with families and residents regarding meals.
~Attend all mandatory in-services and other education as needed.
~Participates in culture change, improvements in work environment and quality of life of residents.
~Works as a team member to achieve excellence in care and attainment of mission of facility.
~Follows dress code for position.
~Follows all dietary and facility wide policies and procedures.
~Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
