What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Bather position at LUCKY PAWS PET GROOMING LLC?

Under the direct supervision of the Location/Store Manager and with policies and procedures from Lucky Paws Pet Grooming, LLC, the bather will greet and receive the pets, communicate with groomers, receptionists, and managers, lift, bathe, brush and dry dogs and cats while maintaining a friendly and professional attitude and appearance.

Understanding and having a basic knowledge of various breeds
Always keeping the pets safety as a number one priority
Be able to lift up to 50lb dogs onto a table and into a tub
Preparing pets for the groomer by shampooing, bathing, brushing and drying
Completing bath dogs by brushing, combing and de-shedding ( with 3 different tools), plucking ears, cleaning ears, clipping nails, and trimming pads if necessary.

Report to the groomer, and front desk receptionist if any signs of illness and/or injury in animals is noticed
Maintaining a safe and clean environment, including but not limited to disinfecting crates, drying tables, tubs, sweeping and mopping floor, and removal of garbage.
Reporting to the managers any products ( ex. shampoo, ear powder, ear cleaner, etc.) that are running low or out of stock
Willing and able to work at various locations if asked (within a reasonable distance from your home)
Available to work different shifts, weekends and occasional holidays if needed
Able to work in a high volume fast paced environment to keep up with the grooming schedule
Assist with laundry if needed
