What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Expeditor position at Lucky’s Steakhouse?
We are looking for a food expeditor to facilitate smooth kitchen operations. Food expeditors inspect dishes for visual appeal and to ensure that food is properly prepared and served at the proper temperature. You will ensure that all food is delivered to the customer correctly and in a timely manner. A food expeditor must be a well-organized individual able to multitask. You should possess great communication skills and ability to solve problems. Experience will be very useful, but not required
Responsibilities
- Remove plated food from the kitchen window, place them on a tray for the server to deliver to the table
- Make sure servers/customers have appropriate sauces and sides for each entree
- Communicate with line cooks
- Making/prepping sauces and condiments
- Keep staff well informed about available or unavailable items
- Monitor portion control
