Tasks
The Lead Agent is responsible for:
- Documentary Acceptances
- Shipment Data Capture
- Prioritization of Export Build-up and Import Breakdown
- Preparation of Export and Import documentation (Manifest, AWBs)
- Handling of irregularities (MSCA, MSAW, FDCA, damages)
- Preparation NOTOC
- Close out flight
- Handling of irregularities (MSCA, MSAW, FDCA, damages)
- Customer contact (Notify customer)
- Hand over AWB and Docs to customer
- Debit charges
- Assists the Cargo Supervisor in monitoring the Office Agent Junior
- Provides feedback to Office Supervisor
- Provides Support to Office Agent
- Supports, co-operates, and communicates with all colleagues
- Participates in staff briefings
* Perform all other duties assigned or delegated by supervisors
Requirements
If you want to be the next Lead Agent, you must fulfill the following requirements:
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent desirable
- 2-3 years of experience in warehouse handling favored
- Some supervisory experience desirable
- English and local/other language required
- 2-3 years of experience in the Air Cargo / Airline Industry desirable
- Qualification according to CHM/ GOM
- MS Office as user
- Excellent customer service
- Excellent commitment
- Must possess permit to work in the U.S.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be willing to work shifts
- Constant time pressure
- High stress levels
- Authority to sign receipts for cargo or mail in accordance with acceptance and delivery procedures
- Ability to obtain SIDA badge with Customs Seal
