The Sr manager software engineering is responsible for order fulfillment in delivering premier fiber-based connectivity to residents and small businesses. They will have the opportunity to work on top-class SaaS platforms like SalesForce.com, Velocity & Zuora. This role requires a lover of learning and problem solving and the ability to guide a team towards implementing architectures and solutions.
- Own the strategy and execution of an excellent and intuitive user experience on our platform.
- Lead a team of software engineers (employees and contractors) in building and maintaining customer-centric tools and services to provide a rich and highly responsive experience.
- Provide guidance on the right choice of tools in the Google cloud product set.
- Manage microservices on GCP.
- Manage/Code proxies in apigee gateway.
- Manage performance observation and changes needed to keep pushing the platform team forward.
- Build feedback to prime the feature backlog to keep the platform ahead of the needs, and enable other development teams.
- Contribute to order management orchestration.
- Collaborate with the product owner and their team to prioritize delivery and clarify requirements in terms of testability, consistency, and completeness.
- Advocate, adopt, and coach their team on lean agile, and DevOps engineering practices.
- Support team members through areas but not limited to career growth, performance reviews, and blocker removal.
- Acts as a servant leader to support their team.
- Typically, 7-9 years of related experience with 3 years of previous manager-level leadership experience is preferred
- 5 years of order management, workflow, and BPM experience
- 2 years' experience in apigee gateway
- Hands-on development experience in building microservices on GCP
- Experience in monitoring/analytics platforms like Splunk, appD, etc
- A self-starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple projects/competing priorities in a fast-paced working environment.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, thrive in matrix environments, and are adept at building relationships with different stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree and/or graduate degree in marketing, sales, information systems, merchandising, or similar field
