The Role

Provide oversight and direction for CenturyLink's Managed Enterprise Services by providing solid project management across organizational integration projects. 
 

The Main Responsibilities

•    Develops, plans, and manages implementation of activities for highly complex projects/programs for external/internal customers
•    Accountable for timely project completion and delivery.
•    Analyzes work plans and schedules.
•    Responsible for resource requirements/allocation.
•    Develops methodologies, procedures, and systems to produce financial tracking & reporting.
•    Acts as project team leader to all stakeholders.
•    Develops project progress and status reports.
•    Responsible for the progress of assigning & tracking complex projects & processes within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
•    Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple complex projects.
•    Preparation of quarterly project integrity audits, development & implementation of enhanced tracking, and reporting.
•    Creation and tracking of projects, Escalates and tracks project issues, & document progress and prepare status reports (metrics, summaries, etc).
•    Communication of project critical dates and coordination with external and internal schedules related to the activity and workload;
•    Coordinates the creation of work schedules and maintains active work planning through use of gaunt charts and related work tracking methods.
•    Coordinate trouble resolution and implement changes to prevent problem recurrence.
•    Accountable for delivering process improvements, providing process management consulting and project management subject matter expertise to direct the activities of each project.
•    Identify/Analyze process risks and inefficiencies.
•    Actively seeks opportunities to transform the business and eliminate costs.
•    Provide consistent feedback on improvement opportunities related to the process.
•    Strives to ensure that each project is high quality, meets the measures of success.
•    Travel to customer locations is required at times; therefore, a valid driver's license is required for this position.
•    Occasional travel & overnight stays are a requirement of this position.
 

What We Look For in a Candidate

Minimum Qualifications:
•    Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work related experience.
•    6+ Years of experience, or 4+ Years with a Master's Degree.
•    Requires some progress toward formal, externally recognized project certification requirements (e.g. PMI) or a min of 5 yrs of Project Management experience.
•    Outstanding and proven Program/Project Management skills.
•    Experience in establishing timelines, detailed reports, and executive summaries
•    Ability to manage each project to completion and to provide status and escalation throughout the project process to each stakeholder.
•    Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (ability to sort, filter, calculate formulas, link worksheets and knows keystroke shortcuts), with demonstrated skill in data gathering and analysis.
•    Must be proficient in Microsoft Project with the demonstrated ability to build complex project plans.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must
•    Ability to communicate project needs to internal and external teams/vendors.
•    Utilize a consultative approach and maintain strong working relationships across multiple departments; internal and external; Conduct meetings with stakeholders to determine objectives and execute on deliverables.
•    Motivated self-starter with experience working in a fast paced work environment is a must.
•    Strong ability to provide leadership/mentoring to other team members.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    PMP Certification or equivalent experience.
•    ITIL v3 or higher certification.
•    Previous Telecommunication Project Management experience.
•    General technical telecom knowledge is a plus
