CNC Laser Operators work in the manufacturing of metal products using machines that employ lasers and computerized equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lifts and/or operates forklift or electric transporter in unloading material, staging jobs, loading machines, etc.
Selects and positions material on the equipment to prepare for cutting steel on the laser
Distinguishes different types of material and its thickness with the use of a metal gauge.
Inspects parts to verify quality and operational at completion; confers with others to resolve problems.
Operates the laser to cut metal parts for conveyor systems, and other manufactured products
Reports labor accurately daily.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
2 year related education or job related experience with ability to learn job requirements
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and short correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one or small group situations to employees of the organization
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and read/comprehend a tape measure
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Maintain reliability and punctuality
Regularly stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Occasionally sit and climb or balance
Lift/Move up to 25 lbs.
