This position will oversee all aspects of the Tableau platform, from implementation and development to ongoing management and integration. This role involves managing data sources, designing and building dashboards, ensuring seamless integration with other systems, and providing comprehensive support to users across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen understanding of data management and visualization best practices.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Platform Management: Overseeing the Tableau platform, ensuring its smooth operation, including upgrades, patches, and backups.
- Data Management: Managing data sources and connections, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is available for dashboards and reports.
- Dashboard Development: Collaborating with stakeholders to design, build, and maintain dashboards that meet business needs, offering insights and visualizations for decision-making.
- User Access: Setting up and managing user access, ensuring appropriate permissions are assigned to each user group, in alignment with organizational policies.
- Technical Support: Identifying and resolving technical issues related to the Tableau platform, ensuring minimal disruption to users and operations.
- Performance Optimization: Monitoring platform performance, identifying areas for optimization, including database tuning and server configuration adjustments.
- Documentation: Maintaining comprehensive documentation for the Tableau platform, including configurations, processes, and best practices.
- User Training: Providing training and supporting to users across the organization, ensuring they can effectively utilize the Tableau platform and its features.
- System Integration: Working with IT and other departments to integrate Tableau with other systems, ensuring seamless data flow and compatibility.
- Compliance: Ensuring the Tableau platform and its data management processes comply with relevant industry standards and organizational policies.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 4 yrs. prior work experience administering Tableau or similar data visualization platforms, SQL, and database management.
- 4 yrs. of exposure and experience in managing confidential or non-public data in databases.
- 4 yrs. prior work experience & strong understanding of data integration, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
- 4 yrs. prior work experience of basic IT infrastructure and operations, to include tools and resources like Okta, CAPPS, and API connectors
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Strong communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple requests with great customer service, ensuring timely completion and alignment with organizational goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification(s) related to Tableau or database administration, such as:
- Tableau Server Certified Associate
- Tableau Server Certified Professional
- ITIL foundations
- AWS Certified Data Analytics
- Certified Data Management Professional
