Adhere to the WWK child focused recruitment model.Attend monthly permanency meetings.Facilitate meetings on an as needed basis with a team of professionals including but not limited to : DCF Family Services Workers, DCF Supervisors, Community Service Providers, Guardian Ad Litems, and Attorneys.
Perform Family Finds using diligent search methods to recruit family and connections for youth. Diligent search methods include but are not limited to : file reviews, drawing genograms, writing letters, phone calls, and emails to those who have been identified.
Review adoption home studies for families who inquire about adoption and make recommendations to DCF for matching children with families.
Ensure budget expectations are met.Complete grant required paperwork in a timely manner.Complete monthly data base reporting for the Dave Thomas Foundation.
Maintain EHR files on each child.Keep an updated service manual on recruitment efforts.Write child specific profiles for photo listing recruitment efforts.
Meet with children on active status in-person monthly to build a relationship and include them in their adoption plan.Perform extensive case record reviews which include scanning and reviewing large files.
Write detailed in-depth profiles for every child detailing their placement history, challenges, strengths, and recommendations for placement.
Facilitate Disclosure Meetings providing sensitive information about youth to approved families who would like to adopt.Attend match meetings on children.
Prepare children and families for adoption related issues.Work with children on creating photo albums and life books to keep after an adoption finalizes.
Attend a yearly Wendy’s Wonderful Kids 3-day Summit.Other duties as assigned.What We Look For : Minimum of BSW with adoption experience.
MSW preferred.Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently or with a team.Ability to be self-motivated.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position either with or without reasonable accommodation.Ability to maintain a valid VT Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation.
Statewide travel may be required.Upon conditional offer of employment, must be able to successfully pass a background check.
