R&D Scientist – Tonawanda, NY
Lunova Group is searching for a R&D Scientist (Electronics Gases) for our global industrial gases client in the Tonawanda, NY area. In this position, you will be a key member of the Electronics Gases research and development team at the Technology Center. You will engage and collaborate with regional businesses, global customers, OEMs, and suppliers to develop and commercialize new materials, purification technologies, delivery systems, and packaging solutions for use in the Electronics specialty gases and advanced materials market.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead projects for new product development from concept to commercialization.
- Become an internal technical expert in the field of relevant semiconductor materials, their applications, purification, and/or delivery systems.
- Design experimental apparatus, plan, run and/or direct execution of experiments, conduct data analysis, and create efficient presentations for communicating technical results.
- Maintain alignment with development partners, commercial team, and customers through all stages of technology development.
- Actively participate in external technical collaborations to identify opportunities for new products and/or development programs.
- Prepare invention disclosures and develop intellectual property.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, or related technology field, and 3 years of product or process development experience utilizing specialty gases/precursors in the semiconductor or related industry, or MS and 5 yrs relevant experience.
- Fundamental knowledge of physics and chemistry of gas-surface interactions in semiconductor fabrication processes, including advanced thin film deposition and/or plasma or thermal etch.
- Hands-on experience with handling reactive or air-sensitive materials, gas and liquid analysis, and packaging/delivery systems.
- Ability to work independently and be flexible in a fast-paced R&D environment with changing priorities.
- Efficient verbal and written (email, technical documentation, presentation) communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
