What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Manager position at Lupton Petroleum?
Lupton Petroleum Products, Inc (LPPI) currently has an opening for a Plant Manager. This role completes the daily operation of all facets of the trans-mix plant and product storage areas. Lupton is well established trans-mix production facility that produces millions of gallons of fuel each year.
The Plant Manager role will primarily be focused on:
· Ensure all tasks and responsibilities are completed safely and according to Company standards.
· Ensure plant, storage area, yard and property are free from hazards.
· Monitor and direct the daily activities in the trans-mix distillation unit ensuring diesel and gas are separated safely and to production expectations.
· Direct the daily activities of all plant personnel.
· Develop and update all Standard Operating Procedures for the Company.
· Review and submit production and product documentation timely.
· Confirm all equipment and systems are functioning properly and adjust appropriately.
· Monitor plant computer system to ensure speed, temperature, and that fuel is produced to specifications.
· Review product testing processes and documentation to ensure product specifications are reached.
· Receiving quotes for equipment.
· Ensure fuel storage units are used efficiently and optimally.
· Review documentation for all incoming and outgoing fuel movements and product produced to ensure inventory levels are accurate.
· Direct the clean-up of any spills and ensure SPCC policy is followed appropriately.
· Oversee the general maintenance and cleaning for the plant, storage areas, yard, and property.
· Provide training and development for all plant team members.
The ideal candidate for the Plant Manager role will have the following:
· Five years’ experience in production operations, and an associate degree (or trade or technical school certificate) in an applicable field, or a combination of education and experience.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong computer skills and able to learn company systems and processes.
· Strong mathematical and calculation skills.
· Mechanically oriented and able to troubleshoot and complete basic repairs and maintenance.
· Adheres to the Company’s values and ethical expectations.
· Able to complete and adhere to safety training and practices.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
