Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern to join our team this summer. This internship opportunity is designed to provide hands-on experience in accounting processes and procedures. The Accounting Intern will work closely with our accounting team to support day-to-day operations, assist with special projects and contribute to the efficient and accurate processing of financial reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the maintenance of vendor master files, ensuring accuracy and completeness of vendor information.
- Communicate with vendors regarding master vendor data.
- Assist in the review and reconciliation of vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Provide support during month-end close processes, including reconciliations.
- Assist with ad-hoc accounting projects and tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Accounting or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and processing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software/tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Previous internship or relevant work experience in accounting or finance is a plus.
