Position Summary
At the direction of the Director of Design, the Interior Designer will assist in creating, managing, and completing all design processes and responsibilities for each property under contract or ownership with LURIN. This position works closely with other design team members to ensure that each project's interiors are complete and in keeping with the rest of the project's tone, aesthetic, and budget. Creating holistic design solutions is the primary goal of the Interior Designer's work.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited school
- Proficient in SketchUp and Enscape
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a member of design team for multifamily.
- Rendering experience
Essential Job Functions
- Understanding of and experience in multifamily or hospitality design is a must
- Responsible for all aspects of interior design, ranging from concept development thru documentation and installation, although specific phases or deliverables needed vary greatly by project
- Conduct test fits and preliminary space plans, including furniture layouts and 3D axonometric views
- Create designs, presentations, renderings and budget sheets for each space needed (i.e. units, leasing office, pools, amenities, etc.)
- Travel to various sites for project check-in’s, installs, project completion confirmation, etc.
- Create smaller scale renderings for spaces needed (i.e. units, dog spas, etc.), spec sheets to accompany each space, if needed
- Will handle all quoting, ordering, logistics, delivery, assembly, and final installs of each project (i.e., model unit, leasing office, pool, amenities, etc.)
- Final project budget sheet reconciliation and receipt organization
- Assist in training Jr. Project Designers when needed
- Special projects and/or additional duties as assigned
- Graphic Design experience a plus but not mandatory
