Who we are looking for: We are looking for a dynamic, bi-lingual (Spanish/English) individual for the A Family Place Relief Nursery program. THE ROLE: The Relief Nursery Site Supervisor is responsible, under the supervision of the Therapeutic Early Childhood Program (TECP) Supervisor and in collaboration with the A Family Place (AFP) Program Director, for the planning, implementation, and coordination of therapeutic classroom and home visiting service delivery at the McMinnville site; personnel development, clinical/case management and reflective supervision to McMinnville Relief Nursery staff; and documentation and reporting related to the AFP Therapeutic Early Childhood program. Provides assistance to staff in crisis and emergency situations. Oversees and/or provides in-class and technical supervision and support to Teacher Interventionists, Assistant Teachers, Teacher’s Aides, Relief Nursery Volunteers, and AFP Interns. In therapeutic classroom 2 days a week as Teacher Interventionist. This is a bilingual (Spanish/English) required position and is full-time at 1.0 FTE (37.5 hours per week).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor all aspects of the McMinnville Therapeutic Early Childhood Program (TECP)
on-site a minimum of 50% of TECP programming time (Mon-Thur 9-12, 1x a month on Friday for respite as needed for support)
accompanies and observes Teacher Interventionists/Home Visitors on home visits, provides feedback, and maintains related documentation
completes classroom observations, provides feedback to the teaching team, and maintains related documentation
Coaches Teacher Interventionists/Home visitors, Assistant Teachers, and Teacher Aides toward best practices in all areas of their work through regular one-on-one meetings, teaching-team debrief meetings, and regular Relief Nursery All Staff meetings using a strength-based approach and reflective supervision strategies
Meet with the AFP Leadership Team to ensure collaboration and continuity of service delivery
Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluation of McMinnville Relief Nursery TECP staff
Maintain knowledge of best practices in the areas of:
Child-focused assessment, programming, intervention, and evaluation
Family-focused assessment, programming, intervention, and evaluation
Current expectations and/or changes in the Oregon Association of Relief Nurseries (OARN) requirements
Trends in interventions with families affected by trauma
Maintain standards required by certifying agencies including:
○ State of Oregon’s Child Care Division
○ Oregon Association of Relief Nurseries
Co-teach in Therapeutic Classroom 2-days a week with teaching team
Support program in the maintenance of State and local databases
Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for AFP Program Director
Participate in the PQI process as needed by the AFP Program Director
Track all state technical requirements for programs and maintain support systems to achieve compliance
Attend to daily operational/facility needs in cooperation with AFP Director, AFP Coordinator, and LCS Operations Manager
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Supervises McMinnville Relief Nursery Teacher/Interventionists, Assistant Teachers, and Classroom Aide/Food Prep staff, including documentation, periodic classroom and home visit observations, training, and professional development plans. Co-facilitate team reflective supervision group sessions.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Four years of experience working with high-risk populations with an emphasis on families with children ages 0-5 in the area of home visiting and/or early childhood classrooms, along with one year of supervisory and/or administrative responsibilities is required. A demonstrated solid understanding of and experience in supervising and motivating staff, as well as providing support to staff in stressful work environments. Demonstrated knowledge and experience of infant and child development, parent-child attachment, maternal-infant health and wellbeing, and dynamics of child abuse and neglect is required. Oregon Registry Online Step 9 required. A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Early Childhood, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, or a similar related field is preferred. Infant-toddler Mental Health Endorsement is preferred. Experience with reflective practice and reflective supervision is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Bilingual Spanish/English is required. Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to read, write, and speak Spanish and English.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: A current clearance from the Central Background Registry or the ability to obtain CBR clearance is required. Current pediatric CPR & First Aid certification and Oregon Food Handler’s Card or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment. Must have a current driver’s license, car insurance, and access to a vehicle.
