Summary:
The Business Intelligence (BI) Report Developer is responsible for design, development, implementation, and support of BI reporting solutions utilizing SSRS, Power BI and/or other reporting tools. The BI Report Developer demonstrates the philosophy of the sponsoring Lutheran congregations, through upholding the LSS mission of “Older Adults Living Life to the Fullest”, core values and code of conduct.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, build, and test BI Reports
Create visualizations for varying levels of reports using Power BI
Utilize SSRS to modify and build effective reports based upon user requirements
Convert existing reports to newer reporting platform
Translate requirements from the business and analyst into technical code
Identify and report Data Quality issues
Utilize ad-hoc techniques to perform on-the-fly data analysis
Modify and execute jobs to load data for BI reporting.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
B.S. in Computer Science or similar degree in related field
Knowledge of Power BI or similar BI tool
Understanding of BI and Enterprise Data Warehouse Solutions
Understanding of data integrations and familiarity with data structures
Strong communication skills that allow them to regularly deal with business users as well as with specialist from related fields
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a basic understanding of the technical side of Business Intelligence tools and techniques
Familiarity with Database design and modeling techniques
Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communications skills to support cross-functional teams
Ability to take direction, yet willing to offer ideas and solutions
Other Qualifications:
Lutheran Senior Services (LSS) requires drivers of licensed company vehicles and those using their own vehicles for business purposes have the appropriate driver’s license, insurance coverage, and meet the auto liability carrier’s driver’s criteria.

Willingness to work beyond normal working hours, on weekends, and holidays. Required to travel from LSS facility to facility.
