What You'll Do
The Training Specialist is responsible for supporting LSI's training efforts by organizing, facilitating and delivering regular trainings to LSI employees and providers. Training topics include, but are not limited to, Mandt, ethics, diversity, CPR/First Aid, trauma informed care, new employee orientation, supervisory skills, service specific topics, clinical topics, and other non-clinical topics. The Training Specialist will report directly to the Director of Team Culture and Training and will serve as an additional support to agency supervisors in meeting training compliance goals. The Training Specialist will demonstrate the ability to independently facilitate trainings and will play a role in identifying any additional training needs of local teams.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in human resources, communications or human services-related degree and two years' full-time human services experience OR the equivalent. Prior experience in training facilitation is desired.
In addition, this position must maintain a valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle in Iowa and meet agency insurance coverage requirements; must have the flexibility to travel to meet training needs of statewide employees; and must submit, prior to hire, to various background checks to verify there are no convictions of crimes, founded child abuse and elder abuse reports, or unacceptable driving records.
LSI complies with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) COVID-19 vaccine guidelines, and this position will require a COVID-19 vaccine or approved qualifying exemption.
