Responsibilities
As a UX Director, you will have the opportunity to lead a growing team and define UX vision and strategy for products at the intersection of the physical and digital world. Your primary responsibilities will be to:
- Provide effective leadership for a growing and maturing UX team
- Champion UX and human-centered thinking across the enterprise
- Collaborate with stakeholders across disciplines to ensure alignment as you define the experience design vision and strategy for a large portfolio of projects
- Ensure measurable, high-quality outcomes for design and user research
- Create the future for an enterprise design systems and UI standards
- Standardize and advocate for human-centered design practices
- Provide vision and sponsorship for an internal UX Community of Practice
- Manage UX professionals and provide coaching and mentoring for your organization
- Drive a DesignOps vision and maturation of an infrastructure to support professional practice for User Experience design and user research
- Define an organizational design strategy and grow a UX team that delivers products in support of business and technology goals
- Collaborate with engineering leadership to align UX and development activities in an agile environment
- Focus on growth, high morale, and retention for your team
- Undergraduate degree in Design, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, Computer Science, Social Sciences, or closely related field; Graduate degree preferred
- Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.0 for all degrees earned
- 15 years of industry experience, including 10 years managing and mentoring UX professionals
- Deep expertise in UX design and user research
- Familiarity with common research and design tools
- Proven experience working in an agile development environment
- Experience with a range of technologies, including mobile and web apps
