General Position Description
This position is responsible for participation in the Navitas Credit Corp. management training program. The program will span 18-24 months and include a practical learning experience in all of the major servicing areas of the company. A rigorous academic schedule will also expose the trainee to industry specific coursework in a broad range of topics.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Be actively engaged in all aspects of training and job duties
- Complete all required coursework in a satisfactory manner as assigned by the instructor(s)
- Gain an expert understanding of Navitas Credit Corp.’s best practices and procedures
- Gain a working knowledge of financing products, underwriting, pricing, and the financial aspects of the equipment finance industry
- Learn customer service duties from commencement to termination including custodian files, insurance program, buyout calculations, assumptions, and the customer portal
- Learn the titling process from application entry to termination including documentation, Lease Works screens, POA’s, DDI, Carfax, NADA, types of titled assets, recovery and repo processes
- Learn collection duties on past due accounts, collection tools, and priority accounts
- Learn recovery duties on contracts transferred from collections, repossession, remarketing, legal and bankruptcy, recovery tools and UCC processes
- Pass periodic assessments
- Perform job tasks as assigned
Skills and Abilities
- Flexibility to work effectively both individually and as part of a team
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong presentation skills utilizing PowerPoint and other presentation programs
- Computer literacy in standard office applications
- Able to rapidly learn custom-designed tools such as Internet-based application entry and field quoting tools
- Skilled with calculator to learn how to compute yields and rate factors
