Now, let’s talk #workperks! While bridal is a niche market of retail – our hours certainly don’t reflect those of traditional retail hours [goodbye early mornings late, late nights!]. Also, pop the champs, we are CLOSED on all of those special holidays where big box retail finds it revenue worthy to be open.
Our Inventory Manager will have a regular schedule primarily Monday through Friday, with flexibility to take on special projects as needed. This position requires working at our distribution center in Columbus, OH, and may require travel to other Luxe Brands locations.
This position is fast-paced and requires knowledge of the retail industry as well as the basic operations of the business. Effective cross-functional communication with the buying team and the distribution center is imperative. This position maintains the organization and flow of inventory intake from different vendors in our distribution center including the development of inventory receiving, processing procedures and inventory storage methods by working closely with our processors to maintain efficient turnaround time.
The manager also manages the schedules of employees, deliveries, and shipments to optimize operations.
The main goal of this position is to lead our online and distribution inventory teams toward creating an efficient internal inventory supply chain. This includes everything from acquisition to clearance to maintain the profitability of items.
The Inventory Manager oversees all inventory flow from the initiation of Purchase Orders to receipt and distribution for all Brands and channels within the Luxe Brands portfolio. This position is 100% focused on ensuring priorities are aligned to keep the supply chain moving at an efficient and profit-driven speed.
This position reports directly to the COO and will work closely with our store teams.
To be successful in this position, candidates must possess the following:
- Eagerness to learn the bridal industry and a desire for consistent training and development
- Exhibit a warm and professional attitude while providing exceptional service with attention to detail to all team members and vendors
- Strong analytical skills to measure and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs). This person understands technology systems in which to pull appropriate data to build strong and accurate scorecards
- Ability to develop, implement, and maintain organized inventory databases, with a goal to maximize efficiency and optimize workflow
- Ability to negotiate and complete contracts with vendors for optimal cost and delivery times.
- Strong understanding of our various target markets, both among our various Brick and Mortar locations and online. Must be able to coordinate and effectively communicate with multiple sourcing vendors, from traditional suppliers to other small businesses.
- Sincere belief in ‘inspect what you expect’ within our internal organization, as well as with third-party vendors
- Fanatical attention to detail
- Keen eye for analyzing situations and identifying opportunities, both directly and in-directly
- Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication and follow-up skills. Can communicate effectively with internal members and external vendors to resolve problems that may arise regarding delivery, quality, condition and/or price
- Ability to be fluid and flexible, identify and adjust daily/weekly priorities to business needs
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to effectively train and hold others accountable
- Ability to quickly learn Bridal Live, Shopify and other POS and inventory computer-based systems
- Extremely organized with the ability to problem-solve, plan in advance multi-task
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
Required Qualifications:
· Proven experience in an operations management and/or inventory management role
· Previous retail experience required
· Intermediate to Advanced skills working with Apple products, Google Drive, and Microsoft Office
· Reliable transportation and ability to report to Columbus, OH Flagship and other related travel when necessary
· Bachelor’s Degree in Retail Merchandising, Marketing, or Business-related field or experience equivalent
