PRIMARY PURPOSE: It is the responsibility of the Casino Porter to provide excellent guest service and create a safe and friendly environment for employees and guests while establishing and maintaining the cleanliness of assigned areas in the Casino and public areas. THE DAY-TO-DAY: Sweep and remove all wrappers, broken glass, ashtrays, and debris from floor Clean and dust slot machines, including areas between machines, doors, and woodwork Remove scuffmarks and drink spills Clean up biohazard areas Clean slot chairs, polish bases, and then return chairs to proper position Vacuum entire assigned stations, moving chairs and other objects to ensure thorough cleaning Remove trash, replace missing ashtrays, and wipe out and clean all ashtrays and trash cans Ensure all equipment is returned to department and all malfunctioning equipment is reported Replenish supplies when necessary Respond to and resolves guest challenges in a timely manner and creatively solves problems with the ability to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and resolve potential difficulties A GREAT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays Preferably, six (6) months of general cleaning experience Preferably, experience with professional cleaning equipment Preferably, experience in a similar five-star/five-diamond resort environment At MGM Resorts, we exist to entertain the human race and provide an unforgettable escape.
