Luxxbox is a small/medium, design-focused business based in Petaluma, California. Luxxbox makes beautiful, highly awarded designer lighting products for the workplace that are shipped across North America and Worldwide. Our business in North America is growing and we need to add additional members to our team.
We are a low-order volume, high-value business with products that are made to order. As an Accounting Controller, you will work with a caring and skilled team of about 20 staff to help us along on our journey to greatness.
Duties include key business leadership to help guide existing management in accounting best practices and systems, Foreign Ownership Management reports, Month End, liaising with external Tax Accountants, Payroll/HR functions via Paychex, AR/AP, bank recs, financial reporting via spreadsheets, cash flow, and general Accounting functions as required.
We use Xero for our accounting along with a customized ERP system for Invoicing and purchase orders.

Responsibilities

- Bank account reconciliations
- Balance sheet accounts reconciliations
- Risk Management
- Tax planning and management strategies to optimize company tax position while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
- Maintain a fixed asset schedule
- Payment reconciliations and notify the operations team of the discrepancies for corrections
- Maintain Sales performance report
- Support and assist the operations team and internal departments with various accounting questions and requests
- Assist in Ad hoc reports and projects as needed
- Opportunities for efficiency and improvements in manufacturing processes to maximize profitability
Requirements
- 10 years of accounting experience
- Strong grasp of GAAP Standards
- Excellent spreadsheet and reporting skills
- Experience with Xero is a plus, but similar programs like Quickbooks online are also OK.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong time management skills and a sense of urgency
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- A self-starter, team player, and quick learner
- A great person who loves working with a small, close team.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
